Our mission
The Old Market Placemaking Initiative is a non-profit organization working with the community in the Old Market Historic District to enhance public spaces in downtown Omaha, Nebraska. We aim to improve the quality of life for residents and visitors by implementing a series of small, iterative urban projects that beautify our shared spaces, ensure their proper maintenance, educate the public about their significance, and bring joy to the neighborhood.

Picking up cigarette butts as we sweep, and ideas for bins that fit in, like gameday "who'll win?" voting bins at bars
